FAQ

Answers for customers and staff using WinMotive.

What is WinMotive?

WinMotive is a skill-powered prize competition website where customers can enter for cars, cash, tech, holidays, watches, vouchers and event tickets.

Is this a raffle?

No. The site is built around skill-game entries. Customers complete the assigned skill game for the prize they enter.

How does Apex Point work?

Apex Point asks you to place one final marker on the image. The closest valid marker to the locked admin target wins. Customers are not shown hints, guide lines or the target.

Can admins test the skill game first?

Yes. The admin panel includes a safe test mode so staff can run the skill game before setting a prize live. Test runs are not recorded as live winning entries.

How is the winner decided?

The winner is the closest valid entry to the locked target for that prize. If there is a tie, a fair head-to-head or tie-break process can be used.

What happens if more than one person is exactly closest?

A live head-to-head tie-break can be used so the final winner is decided fairly.

What is a ticket number?

A ticket number is generated for entries after successful checkout. It can be used to look up or verify an entry.

When do I receive my ticket numbers?

Ticket numbers are attached to your account after checkout has completed successfully.

Can I enter more than once?

Yes, as long as the prize allows multiple entries and tickets remain available.

What does sold total include?

The system combines online sold tickets with in-person sold tickets, so admin figures can reflect the full total.

Can I use account credit?

Yes. At checkout you can toggle site credit on or off. If turned on, your available credit is used first and any remaining balance is paid through the payment provider.

Can I top up account balance?

The customer portal includes a balance page ready for top-ups. Live payment keys should be connected before taking real payments.

What payment provider is this built for?

The checkout flow now supports live card payments after site credit has been deducted.

Are prize images exact?

Prize images are for display and should be checked by admin. Final legal prize details should be listed on each competition page before launch.

What happens if a prize is unavailable?

The promoter may provide a suitable equivalent or the stated cash alternative where one is offered, subject to the final approved terms.

Do I need an account to enter?

Yes. You need an account so your orders, ticket numbers, skill submissions and site credit can be tracked.

Can I change my account details?

Yes. Logged-in users can update their account details from the customer portal.

How do I contact support?

Use the contact form on the website. The message is saved to the database and emailed to the address configured in admin settings.

Are emails sent from no-reply?

Transactional emails use the no-reply email configured in the admin settings, such as noreply@winmotive.co.uk.

Does the website store contact messages?

Yes. Contact form submissions are saved to the database with the date and user IP for support and security records.

Can the legal terms be edited in one place?

Yes. Terms and privacy modal content is fetched from one file each, so updating those files updates the popup site-wide.

Can draft prizes be previewed?

Yes. Admins can use Live Preview to see what a prize page will look like before making it public.

Can I hide .php from URLs?

Yes. The included routing and .htaccess are designed for extensionless URLs such as /competitions, /admin and /289732.

Can I use /289732 instead of ?prize=289732?

Yes. Prize pages use path-based public IDs like /289732 rather than query-string links.

What should I check before going live?

Import the database, update app/config/config.php with database details, configure PHPMailer/SMTP settings, connect live payment keys/webhooks, review legal terms, and test customer/admin logins.
